What inspired you to be (profession)?
The discipline in the Armed Forces has always inspired me. Hard work, perseverance and a 'never give up' attitude are traits that foster success. And of course, the sparkling white uniform is a super hit with the ladies :)
What did you do to achieve it?
My journey into the Indian Navy was providencial. I was fortunate have spent my formative years in a supportive home that gave me the freedom to choose and explore experiences that I was drawn to and a school that nurtured holistic (physical, mental and social) development This formed a natural segue to the Services.
What motivates you to volunteer as a mentor?
The bright and curious minds, each searching for answers to different questions. Indefatigable energy and passion to climb to the top of whatever mountain they have chosen for themselves
How have you benefited from mentoring?
The learning. Mentoring and engaging with young adults helps me stay relevant and honest to the needs to the changing times and adjust my framework of experiences to a modern context
