Being lost and confused, after getting a hundred contrasting views from a hundred different people, Take Charge happened upon me as my ultimate saviour. My mentor has helped me through every step in my career to make us the maximum use of my potential. I have come a long way from where I started and I owe it to Take Charge and the wonderful team.

Over the past 12 months, I have been involved in Take Charge Mentorship program as a Mentor. I have found this to be very satisfying and would encourage all business leaders to formally or informally mentor employees. My two biggest learning’s have been:
1. Pose questions, do not give answers
Personally, I have learnt to pose questions to a Mentee and not provide solutions to an issue. By posing questions, instead of providing a solution, you help the mentee arrive at a solution that they have developed.
2. Develop a “purpose” for life Developing a “purpose of life” is not an easy task and requires introspection, an honest dialogue with friends, family, peers, etc. But recognizing the need for a “purpose” is a great first step. A big thank-you to Gladwin (my mentee); who is helping me discover my purpose of life without even recognizing it.
